The President’s Nominee as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA), Madam Janet Tulasi Mensah, has paid brief visit to the Offices of the Assembly and paid courtesy call on the Chief of Abokobi ahead of her confirmation on Thursday.
The Nominee, Madam Janet Tulasi Mensah, was accompanied by a high-ranked Executive and faithful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency.
Among her entourage were Mr. Jacob Ameyaw, 1st Vice Chairman, Hon. Mary Odonkor, 2nd Vice Chairperson and Government Appointee, Hon. Ralph Awuku-Boateng, Government Appointee, and Mr. Seth Kofi Osei Kissi, Organizer.
Madam Janet Tulasi Mensah called on the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Alhaji Shehu Awudu Kadiri, in his office following which the MCD introduced the Nominee to Heads of Departments and Units at a brief meeting at the Assembly’s Conference Room which was attended by the Presiding Member (PM), Hon. Jesse Nii Noi Anum.
Alhaji Shehu Awudu Kadiri said the visit was to allow the Nominee to familiarize herself with the office and Management before being confirmed at a Special General Assembly meeting scheduled for Thursday, 11th May, 2017.
The Municipal Budget Officer (MBO), Torgbui Tali Gafatsi, on behalf of Management, expressed delight at the coming of the Nominee and hoped she would get the nod to assume duty as the Head of the Assembly.
The MCD then conducted her round the various offices within and on the premises of the Main Office of the Assembly where she exchanged pleasantries with some staff and interacted briefly with them.
She then proceeded to pay a courtesy call on the Chief of Abokobi, Samuel Nii Adjetey Mohenu, for a closed-door meeting.
